On the 7th of September, #Camphill #Community #Mourne #Grange was invited to participate in the #Annual #Practice #Learning #Review. This #forum offers the #opportunity to #share about what Mourne Grange offers to #social #work #students who come on placement. A contribution was shared by Lizzy, our #Registered #Manager, Karen Aiken and Neill Randall, two #villagers who have both had the opportunity to work with social work students on placement in Mourne Grange, and Orla Johnston, a previous social work student. The #presentation provided an overview of Mourne Grange, how everyone lives and works #together and the #unique link to the social work role. This includes the opportunity to work alongside the people we support as equals and learn from them. There is also the opportunity to #develop real #connections and #awareness of how to offer and #engage in a #meaningful #life. The #Conference was facilitated by zoom and also offered the opportunity to learn about other areas of learning and development for student social workers. It was #wonderful to have the opportunity to share at a regional forum about the unique contribution that Mourne Grange offers to the learning journey for social work students. Mourne Grange looks forward to continuing to support this #endeavour and to also support students from a range of #courses and learning environments.
